Karina Griffith & Chris Ikonomopoulos, “CONFESSIONS”

Watch as a chance at absolution guides the morally conscious and unconscious to clear guilt. In an attempt to see how inviting a camera and a hand made sign can be, the streets of Ottawa become a concrete confessional to those who are tired of keeping it to themselves.

Karina Griffith and Chris Ikonomopoulos are both first generation Canadians who attended a residency for young artists at the SAW Video Cooperative in Ottawa. While there they made a series of minute docs together called CONFESSIONS. The project won second place in the national film competition: Canada-The Innovation Nation, an initiative of the Canadian Embassy in Berlin. Both Karina (now living in Berlin) and Chris continue to work in film, video and audio. Producing, directing, editing and soundtracking keep them both busy over countless projects.
